This name is loaded with the meaning of purity and majesty, and contains important lessons for every servant in treading the path of faith. The name of Allah “Al-QDuds”
The name of God Al-QDuds is one of his big names, which is directly determined by Allah in the Qur’an and also mentioned in the Hadith of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam.
This name appears twice in the Qur’an:
First: In the verse of Surah Al-Hasyr 23,
He is God, who is not God but He is a holy God
“He is God, no Divine (promotion) is entitled to worship besides Him, King, who is holy (al-Quddus) … “
Second: In Surah Al-Jumu’ah Verse 1,
Praise God in heaven and what is on earth, God, who is a dear, wise
“Praise whatever God is in heaven and on earth, king, who is holy (al-Quddus), the powerful, wise.” [2]

The meaning of language from “Al-QDuds”
Al-Quddus is a form Mubālaghah (confirmation of strong meaning), derived from the word Duties-llāh ) [4]
This name (Al-Quddus) comes from the word Al-Quds which has two meanings:
First: That (purity or cleanliness). [5]
Second: stem (blessing, which is a lot of good and continuous). [6]
Ibn Kathir Rahimahullah mention,
And he said: {the lords} he said Wahb Ibn Mnabeh: Namely, purified. Mujahid said, “What is blessed.”
“And His Word, {Al-Quddūs}, Wahb bin Munabbih said, ‘That means Ath-Thaahir (The Glory).’ Mujahid and Qatadah said, ‘That means Al-Mubaarak (The Blessing).’ ‘ [7]
Meaning “Al-QDuds” In the context of God
Al-Bihahaqi Rahimahullah said,
Destiny is pure loss, namely from children and blockages, and this is an attribute that is registered alone.
“Al-Quddūs is a sacred substance of all deficiencies, which is purified from having a child and match. This is a decent nature for Him in a substance.” [8]
Ibn Kathir Rahimahullah said in his interpretation,
And that is {God}, namely:
“Al-Quddūs means substances that are purified from all deficiencies and are characterized by all the qualities of perfection.” [9]
Sheikh Abdurrahman bin Nashir As-Si’di Rahimahullah In his interpretation explains,
“Al-Quddus And Sales Means the substances that are exalted and purified from all the traits of deficiencies, and none of His creatures resemble them. He is holy from all the deficiencies, and holy from the possibility of someone who approaches or resembles Him in terms of perfection. His Word (which means),
“There is nothing similar to Him.” (Surah Asy-Syūra: 11);
“And no one is equivalent to Him.” (Q. Al-Inghlāṣ: 4);
“Do you know that someone is like him?” (Surah Maryam: 65);
“So don’t give allies to God.” (Surah Al-Baqarah: 22)
Number Al-Quddusas well as Salesshows the rejection of all forms of deficiencies from all sides, and at the same time set absolute perfection from all sides. Because if all deficiencies have been rejected, the perfect automation has been set. ” [10]

This name shows that God is holy and purified from all deficiencies, disabilities, and from all things that are not feasible for the greatness, perfection, and glory. That is the sacred substance of the supremacy of his creatures, as God said,
This is not like anything, and this is hearing
“Nothing is similar to him, and he is the one who always argues, all see.” (Surah Asy-Syūrā: 11) [11]
Arrange praise and attribute perfection for God
It should be understood that prayer and purification of God not only means denying all the badness and shortcomings of Him, but must also be accompanied by determining praise and the attributes of perfection for Him as well.
Sheikh Islam Ibn Taimiyah Rahimahullah said,
The issue of praise requires a distance from every defect and crime, and to prove the mahimid that he praises, so that it requires it to be forgiven, praised, enlarged and put together
“The order to praise him because of the meaning of denying every deficiency and evil, and set all the appropriate praise for him. It demands that the purification, praise, inspiration, and regulation of monotheism for him.” [12]
Many mention this name in bowing and prostration and at the end of the Witir Prayer
