Virtue and procedures for istigfar

Istigfar will be applied Jhfirah for Allah Subhana Ta’ala. What’s that Maghfirah? Maghfirah This is a forgiveness for sin at the same time covering it, in this world and in the hereafter. So it can be said that istigfar is a request for forgiveness to God so that our sins are abolished and covered until sin is closed and the punishment of sin.

Istigfar is an action that God commands His servants. Lord Story said,

And ask for forgiveness from God, because God forgives, the most compassionate

“Ask forgiveness for God, because God is the most forgiven, the most loving.” (QS. Muzammil: 20)

God also promises forgiveness for those who are proud. Lord Story said,

And anyone who does bad or overshadowing his soul, then ask for forgiveness of God, God finds forgiveness, the most loving

“Anyone who committed a crime or harass himself, and asks for forgiveness to God, he will meet God is forgiveness, the most compassionate.” (Surah An-Nisa ‘: 110)

Why do we need to be a good idea?

After we know that istigfar is ordered, then what are the reasons why we should often take care of it? Among the reasons are:

Humans are the wrong places and sin

The first reason why we need istigfar is because we as humans certainly do not escape sin. There is no one who escapes mistakes. Every day, a human must make mistakes and sins even if only a small sin. Even a prophet is like the Messenger of Allah Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam Has made a mistake until Allah gave a reprimand in the Qur’an.

Therefore, a Muslim should routinely take a routine because of the many wrongs and sins that are committed. A true Muslim is not a person who does not sin at all; However, those who immediately repent when making mistakes. Rasulullah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam say,

Every Adam’s son is a mistake, and the best sinner is the one who repent

“Every Adam’s son must do something wrong, and the best for those who make mistakes are those who repent.” (Tirmidzi Clock)

God ordered us to be

Another reason why istigfar is a practice that should be a Muslim to multiply because it is God’s command ‘Azza from Jalla. God ordered us to be proud. Lord Story said,

And God forgives God, that God is a holy forgiveness.

“Please forgive Allah. Indeed, Allah is the most forgiving, the most loving.” (Surah An-Nisa ‘: 103)

Allah Story Also says,

So I say forgive your Lord, it’s forgiveness.

“Indeed, I (Noah) say, ‘Ask your Lord, for forgiveness.’ ‘(QS. Noah: 10)

God’s messenger (may peace be on it)

Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam is a perfect human. Of course he is the best human being. When he makes a mistake, God will definitely reprimand and guide him sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. However, he is an ordinary person who is not less than 70 times per day. God’s messenger sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam say,

For God’s sake, I ask for forgiveness from God and repent of Him for one day more than seventy times

“By Allah, in fact I forgive God and I repented of Him in one day more than 70 times.” (Ahmad hours)

Therefore, as Muslims who have to make an example, we also have to follow it to be diligent. Especially our condition is of course more wrong and sin so we must be more and more.

Istigfar priority

Istigfar has several virtues. Among the virtues of istigfar are:

For forgiveness of sin and abolished

The most important priority of Istigfar is of course forgiven sin and also for our harassment. Bondigfar is one of the main reasons for our sin to be forgiven. It is based on God’s Word Tap,

Rasulullah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam Also say,

O Putra Adam, you did not call me and my hopes, I forgive you what comes from you and I don’t care, Hi Putra Adam, if you reach your sins for the sky, then I forgive me, you forgive

“O Adam’s son, as long as you pray to me and hope to me, I will forgive your past sins and I don’t care. Yes Adam’s son, if your sin reaches clouds in heaven, then you ask me for forgiveness, I will forgive you.” (Tirmidzi Clock)

Prevent punishment from God

Another priority from the next is the continuation of the previous one, which was prevented from the sentence. When someone acts and without repentance, his sins will be forgiven and God will not punish him or give him punishment. Lord Story said,

And God is tortured and forgiven

“God does not give them punishment, as long as they are looking for forgiveness” (QS. Al-Anfal: 33)

Because it comes to sustenance

In addition to the forgiveness of sins and loss of punishment and punishment, istigfar also has other priorities. Among them are istigfar to be the result of sustenance and the causes of their difficulties. It is a hadith narrated by Ibn Abbas Radiyallahu ‘anhu, Rasulullah Alaihi wa sallam say,

Whoever is asked to look for forgiveness, God makes it from all of them.

“Anyone who damages istigfar, then God will make it a way out of all difficulties, space of all difficulties, and God will give him sustenance in an unexpected direction.” (Clock Abu Dawud)

Because the rain fell and the help came

Another virtue of istigfar is the cause of rain and also the arrival of help. The help in question can be in the form of wealth, offspring, the growth of trees, and abundant water. This is like the word of God Story About Noah ‘Alaihissalam,

So I say forgive your Lord, because he is forgiven, sending heaven to you, and I will give you money to you. For you

“So I (Noah) said, ‘Please forgive your Lord, indeed it is the most forgiven substance. He will bring down heavy rain from heaven, increase your wealth and children, and give you a river and river.'” (QS. Nuh: 10-12)

Allah Story Also says,

And looking for forgiveness from your Lord, then you will send him to you, and you will improve you and increase your strength, and your strength

“Yes, my nation, forgive your master, then repent to him! (QS. Hud: 52)

How are you?

Once we know about istigfar, why do we need to be prioritized, istigfar priority, and how do we do it? Istigfar can be done by saying istigfar words that contain the meaning of forgiveness. Can use lafaz Astaghfirullah; or Astaghfirullah wa atuubu ilaih; And also other istigfar lafadz that can be used.

Among lafaz istigfar that can be spoken is prayer Sayyidul Istigfar, that is,

Oh God, you are my Lord, there is no God but you Ali, and the Father of my sin, so I’m sorry, because it does not forgive sin except you

Allahumma anta Allah, laa ilaaha illa an anta, created, wa aan ‘abduka, wa’ ahdika wa’dika mastach, a’udzu bika min syar ṣhana’tu, abua laka bin’mata ‘alayya, wa abuu’a abuu’a abuu’a abu

“O Allah, you are my Lord, there is no gift worth worship besides you. You have created me, and I am your servant. I am in the promise and agreement to you. I seek protection in you from the evil that I have made. (HR. Bukhari)

In addition, there are also other lafaz istigfar, namely,

I ask for forgiveness from God, the Great, who is not God but He is the one who lives and I will come to Him

Atghfirullahal’azhiim aladzi laa ilaaha illaa huwal schanging wa orubu ilaih

“I ask for forgiveness from the great God, who lack of enthusiasm has the right to worship besides Him, who lives, the highest, and I repent to Him.” (Tirmidzi Clock)

Conclusion

We are the wrong human being and sin. We have to take a day off every day, just like the Prophet is a regular routine for no less than 100 times every day. In addition to eliminating mistakes and sins, istigfar has a priority that makes it a practice that we should not – as a Muslim – go or do a little.
