Have we ever felt empty even though we have everything? Have we ever seen people who look happy, but far in their hearts, there is a completeness that cannot be filled by wealth, position, or world pleasure? That’s because true happiness does not come from what we have, but from what is in the heart; And that is faith.
Imagine for a moment, what will happen if someone lives without faith? The world may feel broad, but his heart feels cramped. Treasure can be abundant, but his soul remains empty. He may look happy in the human eyes, but in his heart, he is tortured by anxiety, confusion, and fear of an uncertain future.
Look at the world around us. How many people are pursuing worldly pleasures without direction, adrift in confusion, and lose the meaning of life? They have everything, but still feel empty. That is life without faith. Faith is the light that illuminates the path of a servant, eliminates sadness, and gives hope in the darkness of life.
Faith is the biggest gift from God. Not everyone gets it. Many people are given wealth, intelligence, even power, but not all are given faith. If today we can still prostrate, we can still pray with hope, and can still feel calm when remembering God, it is a sign that God loves us. In a hadith narrated by Ibn Mas’ud Radhiyallahu ‘anhu, Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam say,
God gives this world who loves and who does not love, and does not give faith except those who love
“Indeed, Allah gives the world to those who God loves or not. While faith is only given to those who God loves.” [1]
Faith is help from Allah
Faith is not something we can get in our efforts. It was God’s biggest gift given to who he was the will. Without faith, humans will live in darkness, lose direction, and have no true purpose of life. Faith is the light that illuminates the heart, the source of peace of mind, and the key to the safety of the world and the hereafter. Allah emphasizes in the Qur’an that faith is assistance given to humanity as a sign of His love, God said,
They hope you will say, say: don’t expect to your salvation, but God blesses you, that this guides you to Yiman, if you are honest
“They feel good to you with their Islam. Say,” Don’t feel good for me with your Islam, in reality God gives you by showing you faith, if you are a righteous person. ” [2]
This verse shows that faith is a gift from God, not solely the results of human efforts. God bestowed faith as a form of love for His desired servants.
Faith brings happiness and calmness
Someone who has faith is not easily nervous in facing a life test. When he loses something, he believes that God will replace it with a better one. When overwritten by disaster, he believed that behind it there were rewards and wisdom. Rasulullah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam say,
Asking about the believer’s commands that he is all good for him, and that is not for anyone except for believers, if he suffers from him, thank you, and he is a good thing, and that is a good thing, and that is good for him, it’s better for him
“It’s amazing that the business of a believer, all his affairs are good for him. This is not obtained except in a believer. If you get pleasure, he is grateful, then that is good for him. Conversely, if it is struck by distress, he is also patient, then that is good for him.” [3]
This hadith shows that God’s love for believers appears in every condition they face, both in pleasure and difficulties.
People who have faith will feel calm in his heart, because he always depends on God in all his matters. From ‘Abbas bin’ Abdil Muththalib Radhiyallahu ‘anhu, that he heard the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam say,
The sense of faith has tasted anyone who is happy with God, God, in Islam, debt and praise
“That will feel the sweetness of faith, the pleasure of Allah as God and his Islam as his religion and (the Prophet) Muhammad as his messenger.” [4]
The sweetness of faith is calm, happiness, and belief that everything that happens is part of God’s love. People who believe will not be easily discouraged in dealing with trials because he believes that God is always with him.
Faith is the cause of God’s loved and entered heaven
God loves faithful servants and promises heaven for them.
For the authority of Abu Saeed Al -Khurairi, he said, the messenger of God, hopefully God’s prayer and peace will surrender to His God and your happiness, and He said, whether you are satisfied, and they will say, and what we are not satisfied, and you have given us what you do not give to your creation, and he will tell you. They said, O Lord, and what is better than that, and he said, I would be happy with me, so I would not be humiliated to you after that.
From Abu Sa’id al-Khudri said, “Allah’s messenger (may be peace with him) said, ‘Verily Allah Tragedy said to the inhabitants of heaven, ‘O inhabitants of heaven!’ They also answered, “We say your call is always in love.” Then Allah said, ‘Are you a Rida and satisfied?’ They answered, ‘Why are we not Rida? Allâh said, ‘I give you something better than that.’ ‘They answered,’ Rabbi! Allâh said, ‘I put my pleasure for all of you, so I will never be angry with you forever!’ ‘ [5]
This is the biggest form of God’s love. Not only giving heaven, but also guarantees eternal friendliness for people -believers.
Faith is proof of God’s love for us. If today we can still believe, can still prostrate, and can still feel the pleasure of worship, it is a sign that God does not leave us. But faith is not something that just comes; It must be maintained, nurtured, and strengthened with pious deeds.
Never consider the help of faith. Ask God that He always keeps our hearts strong on him. Because, only with faith can we feel true happiness, peace of mind, and never fade. May Allah always guide us and close our lives in a state of faith. آمين.
